This song was composed by Harry Warren in 1942 for the Sonja Henie film "Iceland". It has become one of the most widely performed standards in the Jazz repertoire.

Harry Warren (1893 - 1981), born Salvatore Antonio Guaragna was one of 11 children of an Italian boot maker and his peasant wife. His early music interest was his father's accordion which he taught himself. He sang in his Church choir and learned to play drums too. At 16 he dropped out of school to join his godfather's band in a travelling carnival. A self taught pianist by 1915 he was playing in cafes and local halls and was also a mood pianist and general 'on-set' workman at Vitagraph Motion Picture Studios. In 1918 he joined the US Navy and began writing songs. He became one of the greatest song writers, composing over 800 songs for scores of Hollywood Musicals from 1918 to 1981. His songs would be included in over 300 films and 112 Warner Bros "Looney Tunes" Cartoons!
He also composed a Latin Mass which was performed once only at Loyola Marymount University.
His songs were nominated 11 times for Oscars and won 3.
William Zinssner, a Hollywood historian once said " The familiarity of Warren's songs is only matched by the anonymity of the man himself."
